The Big Lottery Fund has developed programmes in each of the four countries of the UK that seek to encourage greater participation in physical activity. The Active England programme (in England!) is part of this activity but is separate from it to some extent. The Community Sport Initiative consists of separate programmes in each of the three other countries.
