February 2008: Active Futures - how to promote physical activity events to young people

Are there any projects in the Glasgow area who would like to meet and discuss ideas for promoting and encouraging young people to take part in physical activity events and classes?

I have experienced problems trying to sign up young people for events. For example I set up a 6 week climbing course - every Friday - for 6 Deaf people at cost of £20 each (normally its £90) - starting from February. I have only one interested person so far!!!!

I am interested in meeting with other projects to work through ideas for promoting and encouraging young people to take part in physical activity. Please contact me if you would be willing to meet or correspond by email if a face to face meeting is not possible.
